Toilet Paper Needed!!
During this time of safety and preparedness our seniors are having difficulty getting toilet paper. we need your help! if you can spare a role, please donate it by dropping it off at the back of the senior center between anytime from Tuesday, March 24 through Friday, march 27. Your donations will be a tremendous blessing for you and for those who need it. All toilet paper donated will be given to seniors, as soon as we feel we have enough we will stop collecting.Click to read the Mayor’s comments on the subject.
*Due to recommendations for State Health Department the Senior Center has temporarily halted in-house dining. Instead meals will be available Monday through Friday, from [time], in a drive-up and go fashion at the back of the center. When you arrive someone will hand you a prepacked meal that you can take without getting out of your car.
The suggested donation is $3. The monthly menu is available at the Center on the last Friday of the previous month. You can also check the menu online at https://mountainland.org/menu-utah-county.
While City does not manage assisted living centers, there are other organizations that help provide senior living resources for the elderly. Seniorguidance.org is one such example.
We have a driver and van to pick up those who need help to bring them to the center for lunch. There is a $1 donation.
We play bingo every Friday following lunch. No charge.
Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a $3 per month fee to help pay for the use of the kiln and for paint. Some greenware is available at the class. We also ask everyone participating to pay the annual Senior Citizen membership fee of $4.
We meet every Tuesday at 10 a.m., except the first Tuesday, in the basement of the Senior Center. The 1st Tuesday of every month, we meet in the Pleasant Grove Library in the Little Theater at 10 a.m. We also meet the second and last Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the basement of the Senior Center. No fees.
On the 1st and 2nd Friday of each month, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, someone comes to the center to check blood pressure.
