Fire & Rescue

American Fork Fire/Rescue is a combination department of over 60 members. We serve a community of 25,000 that can increase to near 75,000 during the day. We serve a six-square-mile area with the freeway, railroad, lake shore and high-occupancy facilities.

We provide fire and medical protection for the City of American Fork, and we have agreements to help neighboring cities as needed. We are staffed with  24/7/365, personnel that are fire and EMS trained.

We provide the highest level of pre-hospital care (ALS/Paramedic), and our fire attack training is progressive, fast and effective. We comply with all HIPPA and privacy laws. (See our privacy policy here.)

We staff fire apparatus and three ALS ambulances with the ability to call back off-duty personnel to mitigate multiple incidents. American Fork Station 51 is the busiest station in Utah County, responding to nearly 3,000 calls a year.

The dedicated men and women of AF Fire/Rescue, along with nearby departments, are trained in every aspect of emergent response including:

  • Fire
  • EMS
  • Hazmat
  • High and low angle rope rescue
  • Trench and confined space rescue
  • Ice and swift water rescue
  • Wild land and Urban Interface fires

We also provide a variety of non-emergent services. These services include:

  • Public relations events and tours
  • CPR/First aid classes
  • Car seat installation
  • Hydrant and business inspections
  • Honor Guard events

Our Department motto is “Always Ready,” and when called upon we will respond is a rapid, professional and compassionate manner. We are honored to serve the citizens of American Fork
