I-15 Interchange at American Fork Main Street:
Main Street Area (East of I-15) - With traffic now moved to the south side of Main Street, please remember that lanes are narrowed and all left turns into the business areas between State Street and Kawakami Drive are to be made only at signalized intersections.

March 22-23: Watch for intermittent lane closures and flagging on U.S. 89 and Main Street as crews install signals at the intersection. Occasional traffic stops will be required while crews set the signal arms. Expect traffic delays up to ten minutes.

March 24: Crews will be flagging the intersection of U.S. 89 and Main Street with the help of the American Fork Police, to allow for work on the signals to continue. Flagging operations will occur for approximately four hours.

Ongoing: The right-in turns into Main Street Plaza and the Alpine Shopping Center from westbound Main Street are closed to allow crews to reconstruct the north half of Main Street between U.S. 89 and I-15. The closure will be in place until mid-August. Motorists should use Kawakami Drive to access the shopping centers.

Work on retaining walls for the north bridge of the new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) continues.

Crews are working on storm drain and retaining walls north of the DDI in the park and ride lot on 900 West. Several parking stalls on the northeast end of the lot have been eliminated. Please use caution in the area and watch for construction equipment.

1020 West is as crews install utilities down the center of 1020 West and reconstruct the roadway. The closure will be in place through April 9.
Motorists will need to use 900 West.

Work is underway at the bridge farm location, north of 900 West. Crews will begin working on the decks for the north DDI bridge this week.

Construction of the bridge support columns for the north DDI bridge is underway. Crews are working on the bridge foundations in the I-15 median north of the existing bridge.

March 20: Southbound I-15 will be closed from 11 p.m. Saturday, to 7 a.m. Sunday as crews reconfigure and re-stripe southbound lanes. Southbound traffic will be diverted through the on- and off-ramps at the interchange during the work.

Access across the Main Street bridge over I-15 will also be restricted during this time. Motorists are advised to use Lehi Main Street. Please use caution when exiting and entering the interstate and expect slight travel delays as trucks, heavy equipment and construction crews are working nearby. Flaggers are posted to guide motorists through the construction area.

Travel lanes on southbound I-15 near American Fork Main Street will be narrowed as a result of the new lane configuration. Please use caution. Large trucks should stay in the right lane.

Ongoing: I-15 will be restricted to two lanes in each direction nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for bridge construction and storm drain installation. Please expect periodic restrictions at the on- and off-ramps during these hours. Lane restrictions will continue through the spring. Motorists should anticipate moderate travel delays.

A portion of the southbound auxiliary lane between Lehi Main Street and American Fork Main Street has been blocked off to allow for work on the retaining walls for the American Fork Main Street off-ramp. Please use caution through the new ramp configuration.

I-15 Travel Lane Changes: The travel lanes along I-15 near the American Fork Main Street interchange are narrowed to 11 feet and 10.5 feet and the speed limit is reduced to 55 mph. Please remember, fines for speeding violations are doubled in construction zones.
