The American Fork City Hall is the center of government service for the City. The City has a Council form of government consisting of a Mayor and five council members.
The American Fork City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Historic City Hall. The regular session begins at 7:30 p.m. There will occasionally be a Public Hearing scheduled prior to a City Council Meeting. Agendas for the City Council meetings will be posted on the City website and at the City Administration Offices at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
The City Council also holds work sessions on the Thursday prior to the regular City Council Meeting. Dale was born September 22, 1938 in Lehi, Utah. He served as Student Body President during his Senior Year and graduated from Lehi High School in 1956.
Dale served as a member of the Utah National Guard for eight years. He also served as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 1958-1960 in the Great Lakes Mission.
Dale's family moved to American Fork in August 1958. He married RoseAnn Hansen of American Fork in 1961. Together they have seven children and fourteen foster children.

Dale graduated from Brigham Young University in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He majored in Finance and Banking. He graduated in 1982 from Pacific Coast Banking School.
Dale is Past President of Gunthers Comfort Air and is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer and Board Member. He was Past President of Bank of American Fork and is currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Board. He was Past Chairman and Board Member of Utah Bankers Association and Past Member of American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council.
Dale received a distinquished Banker Award from Utah Bankers Association.
Dale has also served in various leadership positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Council Member Heidi Rodeback
Term: January 2010-December 2013
Email: heidir@afcity.netElected to the city council in 2005, Heidi Rodeback serves as mayor pro tempore and chair of the finance committee. She is council liaison to the library board, the Neighborhood Preservation committee, and the Beautification and Shade Tree committee.
Her legislative accomplishments include by-laws for the Arts Council and the Neighborhood Preservation Committee. For her work leading to the passage of a tree ordinance and Tree City status for American Fork, Ms. Rodeback was named 2007 Citizen Forester of the Year by the Utah Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture.
Prior to joining the city council, Ms. Rodeback held mayoral appointments as chair of American Fork Neighbors in Action, secretary to the parks task force, and volunteer coordinator for the 2003 parks bond. She was a founding member of the Greenwood Neighbors Initiative and a member of the board of Downtown American Fork, Inc.
She has also been active on the PTAs of her children's schools.
Ms. Rodeback holds a bachelor's degree in Russian literature from Brigham Young University. Subsequent university study includes post-graduate work at the Piano Institute at Colby College. In private life, she freelances as a classical pianist, maintaining a private studio and accompanying choirs and soloists around the valley. She and her husband, David, enjoy blogging and raising their four children.

Robert currenlty works as a Senior Financial Advisor for Central Bank in their Investment Advisory department. Prior to working at Central Bank, he owned a local investment firm, Shelton and Seal Wealth and Estate Management, LLC, with a business partner. The company had two offices, one in Provo and the other in Cottonwood Heights. At the end of 2008, Central Bank offered to buy their investment firm. They accepted the offer and both now work for the Bank's advisory firm.
Family
Robert was born in the "old" American Fork Hospital (now the Heritage Care Center) to Rex and Linda Shelton. He was raised on King Street in American Fork. He has three sisters and two brothers (Ranae Layton, Monica Call, Ricky Shelton, Greg Shelton, and Stephanie Shelton). He is very close to all his family members and feels a great love and appreciation for all that his parents have done for him.
At the age of 22, he met and dated Melissa Nielson (daughter of Kyle and Kari Nielson). They were soon married and made their first home in Provo. After a couple of years, they decided to move back to American Fork and bought their first home across the street east of Greenwood Elementary. They have two children.
Education
Robert is a proud graduate of Forbes Elementary, American Fork Jr. High, and American Fork High School. He has a special love and appreciation for those who were his educators and mentors. He was very active in high school and participated in the marching band, soccer team and journalism. He had a wonderful group of friends who continue to be an example to him today.
Robert attended a couple years of schooling at Utah Valley University majoring in Business Management. After the birth of his first child, he transferred to Western Governor's University where he graduated with a Finance degree.
Community Involvement
Robert has always had a strong sense of community involvement. At the age of 21, he was appointed to the American Fork City Board of Adjustment by Mayor Ted B. Barratt. He served on the Board until he was married and resigned after moving to Provo. After returning to American Fork, he was re-appointed to the Board by Mayor Heber M. Thompson.
At the beginning of 2011, he concluded his service as the Vice President for the Utah Valley Estate Plannning Council (UVEPC), a council created from various industries involved in estate planning such as atttorneys, CPAs and financial advisors.
In July 2011, he was re-appointed to the American Fork Rotary Club Board. Robert is currently in charge of writing grants for the club. He previously served as a board member for the Club as the Public Relations Chair.
Robert currently is a member of the American Fork and Utah Valley Chambers of Commerce.
Ecclesiastical
Robert is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served a full-time mission to the Wellington, New Zealand Mission. Since returning from his mission, Robert has held many teaching and leadership positions in the Church.
Heritage
Robert's father, Rex Shelton was the third son of William (Bud) and Bessie Shelton. It is Bud's line that goes back to John Singleton, one of the original settlers of American Fork. In fact, John's wife, Catherine and a family friend, Mrs. James, made the first loaf of bread in American Fork.
