OFFICIAL OPENING OF STEEL DAYS 2012
KUTV2 News Chief Meterologist Sterling Poulson will serve as a guest conductor when the 90 member American Fork Symphony presents a rousing musical celebration of America for the official opening of Steel Days 2012. The outdoor concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. agt the Amphitheater at Quail Cove. Admission is free.
The Symphony will present a variety of toe-tapping "pops" favorites from patriotic to Broadway that everyone will enjoy. Included are Armed Forces Salute" and "the Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Phillip Sousa.
Sterling Poulson also directors the 23rd Army Band, is Music Director and founder of The Choral Art Society of Utah, and has been a guest conductor for many other musical organizations. The American Fork Symphony Members are from American Fork and surrounding communities from Draper to Payson.
