Since 1990, the annual Steel Days Quilt Show has been conducted by members of New Friends Quilt Circle as a community service project. This will be the 21st year the Quilt Show has been a part of Steel Days. The show offers an opportunity to showcase the workmanship of local area artisans. The quilts are hung for public viewing after being judged for their quality of work. Ribbons are given out for a variety of categories. The Utah Quilt Guild donates $25.00 for the Best of Show award. Volunteers are available to answer questions and to safeguard the valuable quilts. The theme this year is "Quilts: A Wonderful World of Color". Quilts may be turned in on Tuesday, June 28th, between 9:00 am and 12:00 p.m. and between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m at the American Fork Senior Citizen Center. They need to be picked up between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9th.
