RECREATION PROGRAMS

Changes to American Fork Recreation

Resident & Non-Resident Rates:

Beginning July 1, 2010 only residents of American Fork and Highland will be eligible for resident rates in the American Fork Recreation programs.  Residents of all other cities will be required to pay the applicable non-resident rates.  The biggest anticipated impact will be to residents of Alpine City.  The Alpine City Council has voted to opt. out of the recreation agreement that previously allowed Alpine residents to participate at resident rates.  If you are a non-resident and you are registering for a program or activity that begins after July 1st you will be required to pay the non-resident rate.  The initial programs this will affect will be Fall Soccer & Flag Football, followed by Youth Basketball.

Beginning July 1, 2011 the Recreation Agreement for all cities will be terminated.  The Highland City Council has voted to withdraw from the agreement beginning with next year.  So, all Highland residents will be able to participate at resident rates during this current year and the change will go into effect in 2011.
