Who can apply for a job with the City?

Anyone eligible to work in the United States and who meets the minimum job requirements as stated in the job posting or job announcements.

How can I find out which jobs are currently open for recruitment at American Fork City?

We advertise our open positions in several ways. You can find an updated list of open positions by checking the City’s online job list, check ULCT at www.ulct.org or by calling the City Administrative Office at 801-763-3000.

Do you accept application for positions that are not currently open?

No. We only accept applications for positions which are currently open for recruitment.

How do I apply for a position with American Fork City?

We accept applications online, in-person, and via mail, email, or fax.  A completed American Fork application form must accompany each application.  This form is automatically completed when you apply through our online application.  If you cannot compete this application process online, you may obtain an application form by coming into our office, calling us at 801-763-3000 or by downloading the application form in PDF format.  Applications should be submitted to the following:

Only applications received by the final closing date and time will be considered.  Postmarks are not accepted.

Should I include a resume?

Yes, you are welcome to submit a resume with your application, but it will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.

You can access a complete job description for each American Fork City position via our online job descriptions.  You can also obtain a paper copy of job descriptions for open jobs by coming into our office.  These job descriptions explain the duties as well as the required skills and abilities for each position.  If you have additional questions, please call our office.

How many jobs can I apply for? Do I need more than one application?

There is currently no limit to the number of jobs you can apply for with American Fork City.  The selection process is competitive so it is in your best interest to apply only for those positions you are most qualified.

You must submit a separate application for each position you would like to apply for.

Do you keep my application on file?

We do keep applications on file for two years for record keeping purposes.  An application that is submitted for a certain position will not automatically be re-submitted if the same position opens up again in the future.  To re-submit an application, you will need to call or visit our office.
